Flowers and the natural environment provide an open invitation for me to explore with my camera. Using a Macro lens, I move in and search among the stems and petals and leaves to see the patterns of color, light and structure and little surprises. I choose the imaginary environments which catch my eye as my lens explores the inner landscape and I squeeze the shutter." Pat Koenigsberg has an MA in Clinical Psychology and has also studied sculpture at the College of Marin in Kentfield, Ca, pursuits that are reflected in her propensity as an artist to look beyond the surface of her subject matter into its inner life and render her perceptions in a manner both subtle and bold. The artist has exhibited her work in numerous galleries in California and in faraway places such as New York and Tokyo.
